Continental has also rolled out the first-ever tyre line fully equipped with both ContiSeal and ContiSilent across all sizes. This means consumers are getting enhanced safety and a quieter ride all in one product.

“At Continental, we deeply understand what drivers want,” says Tolga Mutlu, Head of Product Management for Continental Tyres APAC. “With the ExtremeContact XC7, we’re taking safety and comfort to new heights. ContiSeal, one of the core technologies in this tyre, offers a proactive safety feature that’s gained global recognition.”

First up is ContiSeal. This is the kind of innovation that makes you wonder why it wasn’t invented sooner. In the event of a tyre puncture, a sticky, viscous layer inside the tyre seals punctures up to 5mm in diameter, patching 80% of punctures on the spot. Whether it’s -35℃ to 70℃, this technology keeps the tyre in shape throughout its lifespan and lets you drive to the nearest workshop without the immediate panic of a flat.

In places where huge amounts of rainfall are expected, the Continental ExtremeContact XC7 also has an Aqua Channel Advanced surface, which speeds up water drainage. Coupled with the Zig-Zag serrated grooves and Blade Edge Pattern, this tyre slices through water films and helps reduce slippage.

Nobody enjoys a noisy ride, and Continental gets that. The ExtremeContact XC7 comes with CSS 2-in-1 Noise Reduction Technology, crafted to make your driving experience as tranquil as possible. ContiSilent uses built-in polyurethane silent foam to absorb noise within the tyre cavity. Meanwhile, the ContiSeal layer adds just the right weight to reduce vibrations, further cutting down noise. Together, these innovations work in harmony to suppress a broad range of frequencies.

The Continental ExtremeContact XC7 is available in a range of sizes, from 17″ to 20″, with a total of 34 options on offer.
