Mitas Introduces Two New Sport Force+ RS Tyre Sizes

Mitas has just rolled out two beefy additions to its Sport Force+ RS tyre lineup.

Now, riders can get their hands on the new rear tyres sized 180/60ZR17 and 200/55ZR17, designed to handle the raw power of heftier motorcycles. With these latest introductions, Mitas expands its range to eight sizes, ensuring there’s a perfect match for every breed of bike out there.

The Mitas Sport Force+ RS is designed for the racetrack but can also be used on public roads. It features a specially developed compound for exceptional grip at extreme lean angles and superb straight-line stability at high speeds. The special construction ensures total control over the motorcycle with amazing feedback and feel.

“Following the successful launch of the Mitas Sport Force+ RS in 2021, the new sizes will cover a wider range of sports bikes. The introduction of new tyre sizes in the sport range is an important addition for Mitas. Our Technology & Innovation team have been working hard to develop larger sizes to allow more riders to hit their favourite racetrack with Mitas SPORT FORCE+ RS,” says Gustavo Pinto Teixeira, Vice President of Two Wheels and Specialty Tires at Trelleborg Wheel Systems.

Boštjan Novak, Director of Research, Development & Quality at Mitas Motorcycle Tires states: “These larger sizes in our Sport Force+ RS line are crafted with a new construction and our high-octane RS-Racing Soft compound to boost performance.”

Randy Krummenacher, Swiss motorcycle racer and 2019 Supersport World Championship winner, added: “These additions transform the way we approach the curve and exit it.” He was given the job of wringing the tyres to the limit on the track, in order to really show off what they’re capable of.
