The Alfa Romeo Tonale is the Italian’s marque’s new toy, and here are the tyres that are confirmed to be OEM.
Brace yourselves for the arrival of another player in the ever-expanding world of crossovers – the Alfa Romeo Tonale. The Tonale debuted in concept form at the 2019 Geneva Auto Show and has taken a long time to reach production, but it’s here now and it’s ready to take on luxury rivals from Germany and Japan with its new hybrid variants.
And Alfa Romeo has recently confirmed the OEM tyres that’ll go on it – 6 different variants in fact.
First up are the tried and tested Continental EcoContact 6. These trusty tyres are going to be hugging the wheels of the Tonale models rolling off the production line at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant in Naples, Italy. We’re talking sizes 215/60 R 17 96V and 235/50 R 18 97V.
While Continental might be taking centre stage, it’s not the only tyre brand in the Tonale game. A peek at the Stellantis Europe website spills the beans.
Now, if you’re cruising on 18-inch rims, you’ve got more than one choice. Alongside the Continental EcoContact 6, you can opt for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 or the Nexen N’Fera Primus, both in a nifty 235/50R18 97 V size. Versatility, my friends.
But wait, there’s more. If your Tonale boasts 19-inch rims, you’ve got the Bridgestone Turanza T005 or the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 as your tyre buddies, both in 235/45R19 99 V XL. So, a bit more rubber meets the road with those.
Now, for the ones living on the edge with 20-inch rims, you’re in for a treat. You can take your pick from the Bridgestone Turanza T005 or the Pirelli P Zero, both in 235/40R20 96 V XL sizes. These tyres are built for those who like to feel the road beneath them, without compromising on style.
From Continental to Goodyear, Bridgestone to Pirelli, it’s all about choices and finding the right grip for your road adventures. Whether you’re hugging the curves or cruising in style, the Tonale’s got you covered.
Now, let’s hit the road and see if those tyres live up to the Italian flair of the Alfa Romeo Tonale.
