Volkswagen has opted for Goodyear all-season, summer and winter tyres as original equipment options for the ID. Buzz and ID.Buzz Cargo.
The tyres that Volkswagen selected are the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, and UltraGrip Performance+. These tyres have since all been OE-approved by the German manufacturer.

Most customers would probably receive their ID. Buzz(es) with Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 treads, Goodyear’s all-season solution. The tyres will be fitted 235/60R18 (front) and 255/55R18 (rear) and also comes with the 3PMSF (Three Peak Mountain Snowflake) logo.

For those wanting increased handling performance in dry and wet weather conditions, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 has been selected due to its performance in wet weather and efficiency. Plus, being an EV, the ID. Buzz requires a tyre that can handle the added weight and stress of an electric powertrain whilst remaining comfortable and quiet. The Eagles will be available for 18-inch fitments.
So how about those potential winter conditions? That’s where the UltraGrip Performance+ tyres come in. Available on 18 and 20-inch rims, these are designed to give optimum performance in snow and ice and reduced the risk of aquaplaning while maintaining grip even in the dry. “We are privileged to have been selected by Volkswagen to supply the tyres for the ID. Buzz. With the three tyres available, we have every condition covered.” said Hans Vrijsen, managing director of consumer OE, Goodyear EMEA.
“As an EV, we have put extra consideration into minimising rolling resistance, and with electrification being a key part of Goodyear’s strategy, we have a wide range of tyres suited to the demands and performance of electric cars.”
